Puffco Peak: Still Puffing

The Highest Peak…

At dawn, the camp broke as the expedition got ready for the next ascend to the highest peak. The men were restless, the women were wild, and the Sherpas were fed up with the fat lot of them and the all useless heavy extra baggage they had.

Col. Greene tried to “rally the troops” with a rousing speech about the importance of breathing techniques and the need for a good stretch. But no one there was actually enlisted, and the colonel hadn’t seen battle in decades… so no one paid him much mind.

They all geared up in a line, tethered together for safety, tense for the journey yet to come, and set out to conquer the infamous Puffco Peak.

One by one they mounted the challenge, climbed the steep slope, pushed through their fears, and eventually inhaled the crisp glorious air of victory as they reached the puffy-cloud covered Peak. Clouds so thick they birthed visceral visions personal to each amazed adventurer.

They were all higher than they’d ever been before, living what others only dream, on top of the world!

There was only one problem: they didn’t know how they would ever get down from The Peak… and they weren’t sure if they ever wanted to.
