The Puma Diaries…
Day 14: Deep within the Peruvian jungle. Myself, my trusted stenographer Marcel, a cook named Agatha and several other key people have been rafting down the Ucayali river for a nearly a fortnight. On the hunt for the mythical city of Dankopolis. We spend our nights passing around The Puma, a handmade piece crafted by Peaceful Pipes. We take in the magic of the herb and melt into our surroundings. The river and my glam squad of almost three dozen become one with the winding Amazonian river. As serene a convoy as one could imagine.
As we light the quartzite puma head it resembles more of a homing beacon, leading us to our final destination. It evokes the spirit of the noble jungle cat that will ultimately come aboard and lead us, paws outstretched, through the sacred valley and unto the long lost utopia of limestone mega structures known as Dankopolis. A place covered in the dankest of fauna with buds reaching as high as the crown of Lady Liberty. A place few have seen and even fewer have left. Guide me oh sacred Puma…
