Every Girl is Working For The Weekend…
Janice was a bit of a movie geek and there was no movie she loved more than the 1988 hit rom-com “Working Girl” starring a radiant Melanie Griffith and the indominable spirit that is Harrison Ford. Janice estimates she watches “Working Girl” no less than 79 times a year. She pays homage to each viewing by rolling up a joint using her…wait for it… Working Girls’ Lady Fair rolling papers—because how he could she not? Am I right? It’s got Working Girl in the title for Jiminy Cricket’s sake.
Janice gets good and high before she even starts the movie. It’s important to her that she dances around her couch holding a Lady Fair rolled joint while listening to Carly Simon’s “Let the River Run” during the classic opening sequence. By the end of the movie Janice has entered a fugue state. It is customary for her to unspool the magnetic tape from her VHS copy and envelope herself with it as if she were a mummy.
Several days later she awakes from her “Working Girl” cocoon and is ready for another viewing.
