Night Lighting The Way…
Linda lived a life of solitude and servitude. A garment worker in a soulless brick factory of automatons. The seconds of her life ticked away amidst the whirring of sewing machines and muffled voices of supervisors calling out quotas from an old speaker system.
One day Linda took her typical lunch on a broken bench behind the loading dock, taking some self-inventory. This time she deviated from her normal routine and sparked a joint. She looked at her life with what seemed to be a new pair of glasses. She never checked back in that day. Didn’t even bother grabbing her sewing kit because she vowed never to use it again.
She bought herself a one way ticket to St. Lucia and found herself a hut by the beach. She took in the island sights and sounds, had her hair braided and at night she’d smoke her pipe on the sand and read by candle light. She preferred the Coco Nuit Candle because it encapsulated everything she now treasured; cannabis, coconuts, suntan oil and the Caribbean. A far cry from her former life. She just needed that spark and a candle to light the way.
