22Red Dead Redemption…
Wandering through the cold Sierra Nevada mountains on horseback, the ragged lone rider lights his pipe full of fine cannabis flower to ease his aching bones and get him to California’s Gold Country.
It’s been a hard 2 months since he set out wide eyed and idealistic from New York City. Barely able to ride a horse, shoot a gun, or light a fire. With the help of a few expert outdoorsmen and a wagon train that got him halfway before the Cherokee scattered them to the wind outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico… the lone rider gathered just enough skills to keep himself alive for the remainder of the trip. But these cold unforgiving Sierras are the hardest thing he’s had to deal with yet. He passed the wagon train of a family called Donner, but left them to their fate, as they seemed oblivious as to how to protect and feed themselves as the snows encroached and he would move faster alone.
Now as he hits the summit, he can see the Californian Central Valley spread out before him and it looks like gold in his eyes. He takes another puff of the good stuff and urges his mount downhill…
Pause game
So high on 22Red‘s amazing White Sabbath (owned by System Of A Down’s Shavo Odadjian) we forgot for a moment we weren’t really the lone rider in this special edition of Red Dead Redemption 2. We press pause and take stock of our lives and wonder if we really would survive during those Wild West days. We high-ly doubt it. We’re getting saddle sores from our Ezboy Lounge Chair. We take another puff and unpause the game. Time to ride into the promised land…
